The Dream Project is pleased to announce its 4th annual benefit concert on
Friday, March 31, 2017,
from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington.
This year’s concert theme is Voices for Solidarity in acknowledgement of the fact that while our students face unique challenges in these difficult times, other members of our society also are struggling for their rights and their dignity. We believe that only through solidarity can we successfully challenge the forces in our society who do not share our vision of a diverse, tolerant and compassionate nation. The benefit concert will be a celebration of solidarity by diverse communities who share a common vision and 100% of all proceeds will help us fund more scholarships for our Dream Scholars and continue supporting our mentoring activities.
We have an exciting program of performers lined up: the Howard Gospel Choir, the Rock Creek Singer of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC, UUCA Youth Choir, and Mariachi Arriero. In addition, the program will include story-sharing and poetry readings by some of our Dream Scholars as well as time to enjoy some delicious food and drinks from different cultures.
Tickets are available HERE.
