The Dream Project Mentoring Program prepares high school seniors from Northern Virginia to gain admission to and succeed in college. Each mentee in the program works one-on-one with an assigned mentor (current college students & young professionals), in addition to working as part of the larger group, for the course of his or her senior year. Mentors, having first-hand knowledge of what it takes to enter into and excel in college, provide mentees support with college and scholarship applications, essays, resumes and so much more. Together, they also participate in professional development activities and leadership retreats. Over this year, mentees and mentors develop a lasting relationship that positively enhances the college experience for both.
